A classic piece of Canadian rock history. Peacing It All Together by the progressive/psychedelic jazz-rock collective Lighthouse. Released in 1970 on the iconic RCA Victor label, this original 12" stereo pressing is a fantastic addition for any collector of late 60s and early 70s brass-heavy psych rock. Artist: Lighthouse Title: Peacing It All Together Label: RCA Victor Catalog #: LSP-4325 Matrix: ZPRS 4613 5s Release: 1970 Cover: features a striking un-die-cut visual illusion on the jacket. The front artwork places the large 13-piece band inside a cutout silhouette shaped like a giant puzzle piece or peace sign fragment, overlaying a lavish, gilded baroque chandelier room. It captures the peak era of 1970 experimental art direction. Chant Themes (Nam Myoho Renge Kyo): the track list is bookended by a heavy spiritual/philosophical influence. The Buddhist chant "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" forms a running conceptual thread throughout the record, appearing in the opening track, a standalone chant mid-album, and the grand finale. Hollywood Connection: features early work by composer Howard Shore on saxophone and flute, decades before he won Academy Awards for scoring The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
