Premium 1976 Canadian first pressing of Bob Dylan's landmark folk-rock masterpiece, Desire, released on Columbia Records. This copy is highly prized by audiophiles and Bob Dylan historians alike due to its provenance in the dead wax. It features the rare, authentic hand-etched signature of the primary project engineer, Don Meehan (stylized as a unique, looping handwritten "M/D", explicitly encircled by the plating technician). Identifying it as pressed at the high-fidelity Don Mills, Ontario plant utilizing original, first-generation lacquers managed directly by the studio's primary recording crew, The lot comes complete with its original picture inner sleeve featuring full credits, a specialized track-by-track review by poet Allen Ginsberg, and historic studio production notes.
