Highly collectible original 1983 Canadian first pressing of The Rolling Stones' seventeenth British/ nineteenth American studio album, "Undercover". Manufactured and distributed by WEA Music of Canada - highly sought after due to its premium mastering pedigree. This copy comes with its original, visually striking custom inner dust sleeve featuring an apple illustration copyrighted to Shozo Otawa. Lacquer cut at the world renowned Sterling Sound studio by legendary engineer George Marino using original tape transfers. Pressed at Quality Records Limited. Cover: controversial artwork designed by Hubert Kretzschmar and Peter Corriston - a partially masked nude female form - masked by real, multi-coloured peel-off stickers. Because many fans peeled these off or damaged them over the years, finding an original copy with the sticker overlay completely intact is rare. Undercover represents a fascinating hard edged evolution in the bands catalog, blending their classic rock n roll foundation wtih contemporary 1980s new wave, dance rock, and post punk elements.
