Released in October 1970, this specific record is a highly desirable first Canadian pressing manufactured by RCA Limited. Unlike contemporary US pressings from the era that utilized thinner Dynaflex vinyl shortcuts, the original Canadian pressings on RCA Victor are highly celebrated by vinyl enthusiasts for their thicker, robust wax, deeper grooves, and superior organic analog punch. Cat: LSP-4359 This album marks a massive transitional milestone for the band. It was the very first album recorded after the departure of founding lead guitarist Randy Bachman. To fill his shoes the band recruited Kurt Winter and Greg Leskiw. This shift injected a harder, twin guitar blues rock edge that defined their 1970s stadium sound. Recorded at RCA's Mid-America Recording Center in Chicago, the tracklist effortlessly balances heavy, driving guitar riffs with soaring pop melodies and hippie anthems.
