Lot #77: Rare 1949 Canadian Orange Crush “Beehive” Amber Glass Bottle – Toronto, Ontario

Bidding starts in 0d 2h 8m

Own a genuine piece of Canadian soda history with this exceptional vintage 1949 Orange Crush amber glass bottle, featuring the unmistakable “Krinkly” or “Beehive” ribbed design that has become highly desirable among bottle and advertising collectors. This is no ordinary Orange Crush bottle. It is a Canadian-made example associated with Dominion Glass Company in Toronto, Ontario, carrying the classic Toronto markings and distinctive vintage construction from the post-WWII era. The deep amber-brown glass was designed to help protect the fruit oils and flavour inside from light while giving the bottle its dramatic, instantly recognizable appearance. What really makes this example stand out is its original Applied Color Label (ACL), with the bold orange-and-white diamond Orange Crush graphics still providing fantastic display appeal. The reverse French advertising adds even more character and Canadian heritage to the piece. At approximately 77 years old, this bottle represents a wonderful crossover collectible combining Toronto history, vintage advertising, soda memorabilia, mid-century design and early Canadian bottling history. Perfect for a serious bottle collection, vintage advertising display, home bar, restaurant, man cave, kitchen or retro décor setting. Displayed against a dark background, the rich amber glass and bright Orange Crush graphics absolutely pop. A rare, authentic survivor from the golden age of Canadian soft drinks—and an increasingly difficult piece to find in attractive display condition. Don’t miss the opportunity to add this 1949 Toronto Orange Crush “Beehive” bottle to your collection before it disappears into another collector’s cabinet. Pickup category timeslot {A}
