Antique &#38; Vintage Primitive Iron Tool Lot with Parkdale Coal Bags Stencil – Rustic Farmhouse

Fascinating collection of antique brass commercial and service-industry pieces with wonderful period character.

The standout is a Chatillon’s Improved Spring Balance, New York, clearly engraved with patent dates January 6, 1891, and January 26, 1892. 
This handsome brass hanging scale retains its origins iron hanging rings/hook and graduated scale marked to 50. 
Chatillon scales were practical working instruments, and the early patent markings give this example particularly nice industrial appeal.

Also included is a substantial Kaye’s Davis Co., Inc., New York brass check/tag marked No. 346, patented July 22, 1924, accompanied by several matching numbered brass check pins/tags. 
These appear consistent with a vintage coat-check or checking system in which matching numbers helped identify checked belongings.

Lot also includes an additional oversized numbered brass safety-style pin marked 37 and an attractive antique-style brass key.

Antique/Vintage Ludwig Piccolo German Accordion with Original Box

Wonderful antique cast iron countertop balance scale, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century and reminiscent of the scales once used in general stores, markets, candy shops and mercantile businesses.

This handsome example features a heavy architectural cast iron base with decorative stepped columns, a graduated balance beam with sliding/hanging counterweight, circular weighing platform, and a large removable brass scoop pan. The base is prominently cast with the number “4.”

The large hand-formed brass scoop is particularly eye-catching, displaying beautiful warm golden coloration, oxidation and generations of natural patina. The cast iron mechanism retains an equally attractive aged surface with greenish-black patination, finish wear and oxidation—exactly the character that makes early commercial equipment so appealing for display.

Scale appears substantially complete as photographed and the mechanism moves, but it has not been tested for weighing accuracy or calibration. Shows expected antique wear including tarnish, oxidation, surface rust, scratches, discoloration and finish loss. Please review photos for condition and components included.

A wonderfully evocative collection of antique and vintage ladies’ accessories and sewing collectibles, highlighted by an impressive hand-beaded floral evening purse.

The purse features extraordinarily detailed tiny beadwork depicting large pink and burgundy roses with green foliage against a deep blue ground. Concentric rows of purple and blue beads surround the floral medallion, finished with long looped beaded fringe. An ornate pierced metal frame, clasp and substantial chain handle complete this beautiful period piece. The interior retains its old fabric lining and decorative trim.

Also included is a pair of dramatic cream-colored leather gauntlet gloves with wide flared cuffs, contrasting dark zigzag decoration, button wrist straps and decorative stitching.
