Lot #74: Lot of 4 Antique Clothbound Hardcover Fiction Books

Starting bidding

$1.00

Time Remaining:

Bidding starts in 0d 1h 46m

This lot includes the following: "A Son of the Sun" by Jack London. Although London's most famous stories are set in the frozen Yukon this book is set in the South Pacific at the beginning of the 20th century. It is a mosaic novel consisting of 8 interconnected short stories about the adventures of an English adventurer. The book was originally published in 1912 and this copy has copyright dates of 1911 and 1912. The front and back covers are in good condition, but the spine does show wear. The spine is split in the front and one page near the front is loose. All other pages intact. "The Stolen Singer" by Martha Bellinger. This is an early 20th-century mystery romance novel. We believe this is a first edition copy as it has the original copyright date of 1911 and the original publisher. There is some separation of the spine at the front cover, but all pages are intact. "Nan Sherwood at Rose Ranch" by Annie Roe Carr. This book was originally published in 1919 and that is the copyright of this book. This is a children's adventure novel and is the fourth in the 7-volume "Nan Sherwood" series. Annie Roe Carr was a house pseudonym used by the famous Stratemeyer Syndicate, the same literary group behind such series as Nancy Drew, The Hardy boys and The Bobbsey Twins. Cover shows only minor wear. Some splitting of spine in the front but all pages intact. "Light O'The Morning" by L.T. Meade. This is a historical juvenile fiction novel by Irish author L.T. Meade (pseudonym of Elizabeth Thomasina Meade Smith). It was first published in 1899. This copy of the book does not have a title page, so we do not know the copyright date. Cover shows wear but wording and graphics are all strong. Splitting of spine but all pages intact. Dimensions: about 5" by 7.5"+ Pickup category timeslot {A}
