Lot #164: Magazines & Publications Following the Assassination of John F. Kennedy

This lot includes three magazines and a newspaper supplement; all were published in the aftermath of JFK's assassination. The Life magazine dated November 29, 1963, was published a week after his assassination. The issue of Look magazine is dated December 3, 1963. However, because magazines are often post-dated it was actually published just days after his assassination. The second issue of Life, dated October 3, 1964, features a cover story focused on The Warren Report, detailing the official investigation into JFK's assassination. The cover features sequential film frame photographs of the presidential motorcade taken from the famous Abraham Zapruder film. The fourth item in this lot is an original vintage newspaper supplement titled "A Family Album: The John F. Kennedys." It is from the November 24, 1963 weekend edition (printed with the upcoming week's date of November 29, 1963) and was distributed by major city newspapers such as "The Sunday Bulletin" in Philadelphia.
