Lot #31: HBC Stripes 1 kg Chocolate Bar Tin – Iconic Hudson’s Bay Collectible

A little piece of Canadian retail history! Large original Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) Stripes metal tin originally designed to hold a 1 kg solid Belgian milk chocolate bar. Featuring the instantly recognizable HBC multicolour Stripes design in green, red, yellow, white and indigo blue, this oversized presentation tin is a fun collectible and a terrific piece of Canadian nostalgia. The tin measures approximately 20½” long x 6” wide x 1¾” deep and has rounded corners with a hinged-style metal construction. The back retains the original chocolate/product information, including the 29.99 retail sticker and original best-before marking. The chocolate is NOT included. Tin only. Following the closure of Hudson’s Bay’s Canadian stores in 2025, HBC Stripes memorabilia has taken on additional nostalgia and collectible appeal. The iconic Stripes branding remains recognizable as an important part of Canadian retail history. Condition: Used, with some light scratches/scuffs and signs of previous use, but overall a very attractive display piece. Please examine photographs carefully.
