Unusual vintage Italian hand-painted character figurine by Laboratorio Pesaro, offered with its original manufacturer’s box. The whimsical seated character features a tall striped hat, decorated brown jacket, striped trousers and long pointed shoes. The figure has a distinctive hand-painted folk-art appearance, with individually painted details and an expressive character. The original box is marked LABORATORIO PESARO, Montelabbate, Pesaro, Italy, and retains its original identification label reading “MASCHIETTO SEDUTA PANTALONE” along with the model/reference information. CONDITION NOTE This figurine has definitely lived an interesting life! Please examine all photographs carefully. The figure has significant condition issues, including: * Nose is missing, leaving the face with a noticeable loss. * Hat is broken/damaged, with visible damage to the top portion. * Visible repair to one ankle/leg, with the repair clearly apparent. * Additional paint loss, scuffing, rubbing and age-related wear throughout. * The original box is also quite worn, with creasing, tears, scuffing and tape/adhesive residue.
