Vintage Mid-Century Murano/Bohemian Cobalt Blue & 24K Gold "Tre Fuochi" Art Glass Vase — 13.5" Type: Tall Art Glass / Statement Vase Style: Tre Fuochi (Three Fires) / Muranese Style Period: Mid-Century Modern (circa 1950s–1960s) Origin: Italy (Murano/Venice) or Czech Republic (Bohemia) Material: Cobalt Blue Glass, 24K Gold Leaf Overlay, Raised Enamel Jewels Height: 13.5 inches (approx. 34.3 cm) Full Description Up for auction is a striking, highly decorative mid-century art glass statement vase executed in the classic Venetian Tre Fuochi (Three Fires) style. Standing at an impressive 13.5 inches tall, this elegant piece is crafted from deep, vibrant cobalt blue glass. It features an elongated, dramatic flared neck completely enveloped in a heavy 24K yellow gold gilt overlay. The body is meticulously hand-painted with intricate silver and white scrolling filigree work. It is punctuated by signature raised, three-dimensional ruby-red glass/enamel "jewel" droplets that catch the light beautifully. The thick gold accent trim wraps seamlessly over the top rim and base, giving the piece a stunning profile from all viewing angles. Featuring a smooth, polished flat base typical of high-quality mid-century export art glass, this substantial vase makes a commanding standalone statement piece or an exceptional addition to any vintage glass collection. Condition Report Overall Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition. Glass Structure: Free of any chips, cracks, flea bites, or structural repairs. Surface/Gilding: The hand-painted enamel scrolling and raised red jewels are completely intact. The 24K gold overlay shows exceptional coverage with only negligible, age-appropriate micro-rubbing along the extreme outer edge of the upper rim, consistent with gentle handling over the decades. Markings: Unmarked/unsigned (originally bore a paper or foil export label which has worn off over time, standard for this era and style).
