Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Bud Vase – 6.25” Peony & Magnolia Motif Up for auction is a beautiful vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel bud vase, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. Crafted with traditional wire filigree techniques over a heavy brass base, this piece features an elegant, multi-sided botanical scene celebrating spring and prosperity. The vase is decorated with vibrant pink and yellow peonies alongside delicate pale yellow magnolias, forming the classical "Yutang Fugui" motif (a traditional wish for a noble house blessed with wealth and honors). A beautifully detailed swallow in mid-flight gracefully approaches the blossoms. The entire design is set against a brilliant turquoise-blue background filled with an intricate, continuous wirework cloud pattern (wenzi). The top rim and foot ring are finished in highly polished brass, displaying a rich, authentic aged patina inside the neck.
