This 23 by 15 inch painting on board in a MCM 32 by 24 inch frame is an original oil by local artist Kerstead. He is noted for his painting of old mills.  It is accompanied with a 12 by 9 inch book (copyright 1979) authored by him reflecting on his works with comments and thoughts on 100 plus pictures of his work. Both are in excellent condition.  His paintings are considered to represent a Canadian identity and this lot presents the opportunity to own an original work by a noted local artist.

Original Kerstead Oil Painting &#34;Black Creek Mill&#34; Pioneer Village Toronto

This beautiful perfume bottle has three molded relief soft blue-green glass panels of a nude nymth and fawn, an archer, and a woman with birds, beneath a top border decorated with birds in flight.  Separating the panels is clear glass accented with small colored leaves.  The bottle is a travel atomizer with a working twist down pump spray atomizer.  With the pump open, the bottle stands 6 1/4 inches high with a diameter of 1 3/4 inches. There is wear to the gold on the top and two small chips in the glass at the bottom rim that are not very noticeable and do not detract.  The underside of the bottle has the entwined initials B and S inside a circle, the mark of Verreries Brosse who made glass perfume atomizers during the 1920s and 1930s.

Art Deco Verreries Brosse Glass French Travel Perfume Atomizer 

This fine mesh evening purse has a delicate chain strap, decorative scalloped fringe, engraved metal frame, and a kiss clasp set with two sapphire blue cabochon accents.  It is marked 925 on the frame and weighs 86 grams. It is approximately 5 1/4 inches long, 12 inches long including the handle, and 4 1/8 inches across.  There are few links on the fringe that have come loose but overall this terrific Edwardian era purse is in excellent antique condition with an attractive dark patina and would make a great addition to a collection of early evening bags.

Antique Sterling Silver Chainmail Evening Bag 

This is a stunning heavy, ornate, open work sterling silver set with large round stones in shades of blue that change with the light source and has a total weight of 85 grams.  The set is in excellent condition with an attractive patina and includes a link bracelet that is 6 1/2 inches long, 3/4 inches wide, and 1/2 inches deep.  The bracelet has a hidden push clasp that is marked AG and sterl and a safety chain.   It weighs 59.26 grams.  The matching brooch measures 1 1/2 inches across, 1 3/4 inches high including the four dangles and weighs 15.15 grams.  The earrings are for pierced ears and are 3/4 inches in diameter and 3/8 inches deep, and have a combined weight of 11.11 grams.   A beautiful and unusual set in excellent vintage condition!

Ornate Sterling Silver Blue Stone Set 

This small 1 3/4 by 2 by 1 inch sterling silver ring box comes from the early Toronto Kent&#39;s Limited Jewellers (1867 to sellout by the Kent family around 1953 at which time Henry Birks acquired their mark).  It is in excellent antique condition.  A wonderful little box to house a Victorian or Edwardian ring in a collection or for a cherished special ring.

Antique Sterling Ring Box

This vintage ring was made by Birks for the members of the Catholic Women&#39;s League (CWL) of Canada.  The face of the ring is enamelled sterling silver with a central blue enamel cross flanked by maple leaves on a white background, encircled by a dark blue enamel border reading &#34;The Catholic Women&#39;s League For God And Canada&#34;. It is marked Birks Sterling on the underside.  The shank is yellow gold and is marked 14K.   The face of the ring is round with a 5/8 inch diameter and the shank is approximately 1/8 inches wide.  The size 6 3/4 ring weighs 4.1 grams and is in very good vintage condition.

This vintage gold-tone lion&#39;s head brooch sparkles with pavé-set clear rhinestones and vibrant green eyes.  The impressive brooch is signed D&#39;Orlan and is in excellent condition.  

D&#39;Orlan is a noted vintage costume jewellery brand founded in Toronto in 1957 by Maurice J. Bradden who trained under legendary French jewelry designer Marcel Boucher before starting his own company.

This 3 1/2 inch scarf/stick pin dates to circa 1910 (Edwardian period). It is not marked but the twisted pin tests 10K while the carnelian head is held in gold filled backed frame. This is a spectacular set of Sherman jewellery in amber orange and yellow colours that are perfect for the Fall.  All pieces are signed and are in excellent condition, including:

1. A necklace with a curved rigid centerpiece of large round orange stones separated by yellow baguettes.  The centrepiece is  curved and lightly domed.  Measured straight across, it is 3 3/4 inches long and 3/4 inches at its widest.  The total length of the necklace is 17 inches including the fold over clasp and extender chains.  The jump ring that is part of the clasp looks like it is a replacement but this is only noticeable on close inspection and does not detract and the stunning necklace is otherwise in excellent condition.  

2. A bracelet with the same form as the necklace but with a subtle difference in the reversed colours as the large round stones are yellow and the baguettes are amber.  The bracelet has a box clasp and safety chain.  It measureds approximately 2 1/4 inches straight across the rigid centrepiece and 3/4 inches wide.  It is 6 1/4 inches long measured straight across the centre and only slightly more if the curvature is taking into account so requires a relatively small wrist.  It is signed and has a bit of wear on the underside but this is not seen when worn.  

3. An pair of clip-on earrings with a large emerald cut amber rhinestone surrounded by small light yellow circular stones and that is accented with a leaf of small yellow stones that sits high of the amber stone.  The earrings are 1 inch by 3/4 inches.  Signed and in excellent condition, the colours are attractive and the unusual design is fabulous.  

This is an outstanding set with all three pieces signed and in excellent vintage condition.

Exceptional Signed Sherman Necklace, Bracelet, Earring Set 

These vintage signed Sherman earrings have finely cut, pink & blue pastel coloured navette rhinestones with an iridescent aurora borealis finish, prong set in goldtone in a curved leaf design.   The earrings are the clip style and measure 1 1/2 x 1 1/8 inches.  They have all the wonderful quality of design, workmanship, and materials that Sherman is noted for, are in excellent condition, and are much prettier than portrayed in the photos.

Signed Sherman Aurora Borealis Clip Earrings 

This stunning brooch and matching earrings is not marked but was likely made by the New York costume jewelry manufacturer DeLizza & Elster (D&E), in their Juliana line of the late 1960&#39;s.  Like the majority of their pieces, this set is not signed but would have had a paper hand tag.  It has the characteristic bold design, mix of high quality closed and open backed stones that allowed the light to shine through, and visible figure eight puddling on the back.  

The three dimensional brooch measures 2 inches across and the earring are 1 1/4 x 3/4 inches.  This exceptionally beautiful costume jewellery set is in excellent condition.

 Vintage 1960&#39;s DeLizza &#38; Elster Brooch &#38; Earring Set 

This Victorian bar pin is marked 9 ct. and weighs 2.11 grams  The pin has a bezel set bright red stone in the centre with four seed pearls.  It has a c-clasp, measures 2 1/8 inches long and 1/2 inches wide, and is in excellent antique condition.  Included with the pin is an antique leather jewellery box with a velvet and silk interior that is marked &#34;Oscar Boehmer Jewellr & Optician Kitchener, Ont&#34;.  The box measures 3 3/4 x 2 inches across and about 7/8 inches deep including the lightly domed hinged lid.

Antique 9K Bar Brooch 

This gold filled Victorian locket has a raised laurel wreath accented with faux turquoise beads on one side and faux seed pearls on the other.  It will hold two photos on the inside.  The locket measures approximately 1 1/4 inches long excluding the bale and 1 inches across. It hangs on an ornate chain with intricate beaded ribbon-style links and a cylindrical barrel clasp that is approximately 15 inches long.  Excellent condition with age related tarnish that could be polished if desired.

Antique Gold Filled Locket Necklace 

This 1 1/2 inch gold locket pendant houses early tin type photos of a couple. The pictures are protected behind small bevelled glass front which prevents taking them out to look for possible gold markings. Although there is no visible gold marking the case tests for 10K. The gross weight is 29.5 grams. It is in good used antique condition. It would add to an early jewellery or photo collection.

Antique 10K Gold Photo Locket Pendant

Lot includes two Victorian fruit knives with mother of pearl handles and sterling silver blades and accents, both in excellent condition and with period leather boxes.  

The smaller knife has British hallmarks on the blade for Birmingham 1894 with the makers&#39; mark of 
Hilliard & Thomason.  It is 3 inches long when closed and 5 3/8 inches when open and has a total weight of 25.9 grams.  The knife is in a period leather case that is 3 3/4 x 1 inch across and has the retailer name and liverpool address in gold lettering of R.E. Oldfield.  

The larger knife has British hallmarks for London 1887 including the Queen Victoria duty mark and makers&#39; mark of Thomas Bradbury III & John S Henderson who were partners from 1877 until 1888.  The knife is 3 1/2 inches long when closed and 6 3/8 inches when open, and has a total weight of 46.11 grams.  There is a monogrammed cartouche on the MOP handle reading J.T.T. Brown.  The knife is in a period leather box in good condition for its age with wear on the corners.  

Both antique knives are in excellent condition and the sterling silver has only been lightly polished.

Three Pairs Antique & Vintage Salt And Pepper Shakers

The blue pair of shakers are vintage and from the 1950’s. They are 3 1/2 inches tall and have rubber stoppers. The other 2 pairs are Deco and from about 1920. The salt shaker is taller in each pair and the holes are also larger for the salt to come out. The peppers are smaller. There is a china disc that screws into each shaker for filling. All are in excellent condition.
