Large vintage Downtown Los Angeles aerial photographic map, copyright 1984 by Western Economic Research Co., Inc. of Encino, California. The base aerial photograph is copyright 1984 by Brewster Pacific Corporation and, according to the printed information, was flown March 6, 1984, with building identifications and other information current through May 1984. The detailed black-and-white aerial view identifies numerous downtown streets, buildings, businesses and landmarks, including the Flower Market area, St. Joseph Church, Standard Oil Well & Pumping Site, Gray Line Tours, Hollywood Freeway and many others. Scale is approximately 1 inch 250 feet. This is an interesting piece of Los Angeles history, urban development and cartography, especially for collectors of vintage Southern California maps and ephemera. Condition shows age and handling wear. There are tears/splits in the white border area, including the damage clearly photographed. Please examine all photos carefully for condition and measurements.
