An authentic antique Japanese Kutani porcelain bottle vase (historically used as a sake bottle shape or tokkuri), crafted during the Meiji period (1868–1912). 九谷製 (Kutani Sei) Visual Elements & Style The Silhouette: It features a distinctive bulbous, onion-shaped lower body that tapers abruptly into an elongated, narrow neck, modeled after traditional vessels used for serving heated sake. The Body Scene: The central globular body showcases a detailed figural vignette painted against an off-white background. It depicts several classical Japanese figures (possibly including samurais or high-ranking courtiers) dressed in elaborately patterned kimonos. The figure on the right is heavily embellished with brilliant raised gold gilt (kinranda), standing before a landscape of autumn trees or blossoms. The Neck & Base Pattern: The long neck and base are richly covered in a vibrant, deep iron-red (aka-e) enamel wash. This red ground is densely overlaid with fine gold scrolling, repeating geometric clouds, and floral medallion lattices characteristic of classic Kutani ware. Material & Craftsmanship This style of decoration—balancing detailed figurative narrative panels with dense red-and-gold geometric borders—was highly prized both in domestic markets and as luxury export art during Japan's golden era of porcelain manufacturing. H: 15 cm / 6 inches 日本語の解説 (Japanese Description) この作品は、**明治時代(1868年〜1912年)に制作された、本物のアンティーク九谷焼磁器製徳利(酒器型花瓶)**です。意匠と様式造形(シルエット): 下部が丸く膨らんだ玉葱型の胴体から、細く長い首へと急にすぼまっていく独特の形状をしています。これは、お酒を温めて注ぐための伝統的な徳利の形を模したものです。胴部の絵柄: 中央の丸い胴部分には、乳白色の地肌を背景に、緻密な人物画(武士や高貴な公家などと推測される古典的な登場人物)が描かれています。登場人物たちは凝った文様の着物を纏っており、特に右側の人物には鮮やかな**金彩(金襴手・きんらんで)**が贅沢に施され、秋の木々や花々の景色の中に佇んでいます。首部と袴(底部)の文様: 長い首と底部の周りは、九谷焼の代名詞である鮮やかな**赤絵(赤唐草)**の絵の具で埋め尽くされています。この赤地の上に、細緻な金彩の唐草文様、連続する幾何学的な瑞雲、そして丸紋の花格子が隙間なく描き込まれています。素材と職人技詳細な人物画の絵羽パネルと、赤と金による濃密な幾何学文様の境界線との見事な調和は、日本の磁器製造の黄金期において、国内はもとより海外向けの高級輸出工芸品としても非常に高く評価された意匠です。 この一般的な工房銘は、**明治時代(1868年〜1912年)**に作られた高品質な輸出用磁器に非常によく見られる特徴です。 Dimensions: H: 15 cm / 6 inches Pickup category timeslot {B}
