Two vintage Japanese porcelain vases crafted in the classic Satsuma style, 20th century 1. The Crackle-Glaze Peacock Vase (左侧:开片釉孔雀纹花瓶)Shape & Texture The Silhouette: It features a traditional ginger jar or baluster silhouette with broad, rounded shoulders that gracefully taper down to a flared pedestal foot rim.The Glaze: The base is finished in a warm, cream-colored or ivory glaze displaying an intentional, highly detailed network of fine age crazing (crackle glaze), a staple characteristic of Satsuma-style earthenware and porcelain.Painted DecorationThe Motif: The main body showcases a vibrant, colorful pair of peacocks (kujaku) perched upon a mossy rocky outcrop. Their expansive tail feathers are accented with brilliant raised gold gilt line work.Flora: Surrounding the peacocks are large, blooming peonies (botan) in shades of dusty pink and rust-red, flanked by stylized clusters of orange and yellow chrysanthemums (kiku). Both the top rim and bottom foot are finished with a clean, continuous gilded line. 2. The Black Glaze "Money Bag" Vase (右侧:黑釉袋形金彩花瓶)Shape & Contrast The Silhouette: This piece features a whimsical, round globular body styled after a traditional money bag, pouch, or sack (fukuro). The neck is sharply cinched and opens up into a beautifully fluted, ruffled or scalloped rim resembling a tied cloth opening.The Glaze: In stark contrast to its partner, it is coated in a sleek, mirror-like high-gloss jet black glaze (Kuro-Satsuma style variant).Painted DecorationThe Motif: It mirrors the exact same traditional composition of a peacock pair amidst peonies and chrysanthemums.The Artistry: Because of the dark background, the colors are rendered using finer, high-contrast polychrome enamels. The scene relies heavily on dense, shimmering golden outlines and metallic cross-hatching to make the feathers and floral petals pop dynamically against the black enamel. The scalloped rim is heavily finished with a thick, undulating gold trim. 1. 貫入(かんにゅう)ひび割れ釉・孔雀文花瓶造形と質感: 豊かに丸みを帯びた高い肩から裾へとすぼまっていく、伝統的なバラスター(丸胴)型のシルエットをしています。アイボリー(乳白色)の地肌には、薩摩焼の最大の代名詞である、細かく美しい**「貫入(ひび割れ模様)」**が全面に施されています。絵柄の意匠: 伝統的な吉祥のモチーフである**「つがいの孔雀(くじゃく)」が、立体的な金彩(ゴールドライン)を贅沢に使って描かれています。周囲には大輪の牡丹(ぼたん)やくすんだオレンジ色の菊花**が華やかに咲き誇り、口縁と底部には格調高い金のラインが引かれています。 2. 黒釉・巾着型(袋形)金彩花瓶ユニークな巾着フォルム: 伝統的なお財布や縁起の良い**「巾着袋(福袋)」を模した丸いフォルムをしています。きゅっと締まった細い首の上部は、まるで結んだ布地が広がるような、エレガントなフリル口(輪花口・フリルリム)**に成形されています。黒薩摩風のコントラスト: 相方とは対照的に、吸い込まれるような光沢のある漆黒の黒釉(黒薩摩調)でコートされています。暗い背景の中で絵柄を際立たせるため、同じ孔雀や牡丹のモチーフが、非常に繊細な**金泥の輪郭線や金彩のハッチング(網目模様)**を多用してきらびやかに表現されています。フリルの口縁には厚みのある上品な金泥が縁取られています。 Pickup category timeslot {B}
