- Antique 5 Imperial Gallon heavy galvanized steel shipping can manufactured by the historically prominent W.D. Beath & Son Limited of Toronto, Canada. - Rugged, industrial-grade vessel features its original raised heavy iron transport handle, a built-in protective pouring lip shield, and its authentic, riveted brass/copper maker's plate. The plate reads: "This can contains 5 Imperial Gallons when filled to wire. Mfd. by W.D. Beath & Son Limited, Toronto, Canada." Also stamped on the side plate are the inspection letters "T. G. R. 1 lbs". - Antique 1910 and 1930 - W.D. Beath & Son primarily produced this distinct ribbed silhouette with the pivoting loop handle as a 5-gallon fuel, kerosene, or oil delivery can. - Excellent vintage primitive condition.
