Caulfield’s mastery of realistic rock replication earned him massive museum and institutional commissions in South Africa. Most notably, he designed and constructed a 300-square-meter artificial cave exhibit inside Museum Africa in Johannesburg, as well as a 100-square-meter replica system for the world-famous Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn.
