Antique 1920s Alec-Tri-Pup Porcelain Dog Electrical Outlet Splitter Extension Cord - RARE Working Art Deco Novelty Figurine Item Specifics: Brand: Alec-Tri-Pup (Unmarked) Era: 1920s–1930s (Art Deco) Height: 3.5 inches Material: Glazed Porcelain / Ceramic Animal: Dog (Pekingese / Pug / Bulldog) Item Description Rare Antique 1920s "Alec-Tri-Pup" Figural Porcelain 3-Way Electrical Extension Cord Outlet Splitter Up for auction is a fascinating and highly collectible piece of early American electrical history. This original 1920s–1930s "Alec-Tri-Pup" figural outlet adapter stands exactly 3.5 inches tall. During the early days of home electrification, wall receptacles were scarce. Novelty items like this heavy porcelain puppy were designed to sit safely on tabletops or floors, serving as an attractive decorative figurine while neatly splitting a single power supply into three separate plug-in ports. Condition & Visual Details: Porcelain Body: Excellent antique condition. The white glazed porcelain is completely structurally sound with no cracks, no chips, and no repairs. Cold Paint: Features beautiful, authentic remnants of its original green cold-painted accents surviving on the left ear, facial features, and paws. (Cold paint was applied after firing, so finding any intact paint on these pieces is a great historical bonus!) The Extension Cord: Includes its massive, original braided cloth-covered electrical cord. The fabric insulation is heavily frayed, weathered, and unravelling in multiple spots due to a century of age and storage, which is perfectly typical for this item. Functionality & Essential Safety Disclaimer (Please Read): Technical Status: This item has been tested and is in working condition. Internal connections are fully intact, and electrical current passes successfully through all three molded perimeter outlet slots. LIABILITY & SAFETY NOTICE: Although the internal elements are mechanically functional, this item is being sold strictly as a historical, industrial antiquity and decorative collectible. Due to the severely degraded and fragile nature of the 100-year-old ungrounded cloth wiring, this item is NOT intended for modern daily operational use. It should NEVER be left plugged in or used as a functional household appliance. By bidding on this item, the buyer acknowledges it is purchased at their own risk for display or professional restoration purposes only.
