Vintage 1930s Western Calendar Art Print – "The Dogie" by Harold Bryant (Osborne Co.) Up for auction is an authentic, beautifully preserved vintage mid-century Western illustration print titled "The Dogie" by renowned American cowboy artist Harold Bryant (1894–1950). The piece captures a quintessential scene of early American ranch life: a lone cowboy on horseback pausing on a grassy ridge to look down at a small, orphaned calf ("dogie") separated from its herd. Bryant’s intimate knowledge of ranch life is visible in every detail, from the horse's tack to the vast, rolling Western landscape. This piece was originally produced as premium advertising calendar art by The Osborne Company, U.S.A.—the historic pioneer of the commercial art calendar. After the calendar year concluded, the original owner meticulously saved and trimmed the print to remove the calendar components, preserving this beautiful artwork for generations.
