The inscription includes the classical plum blossom verse “香中別有韻，清極不知寒”, meaning approximately “Within its fragrance is a distinctive grace; so pure that it seems unaware of the cold.” The verse is traditionally attributed to Song dynasty poet Cui Daorong (崔道融) and complements the winter plum blossom subject.

Signed with what appears to include the art name 錦亭 (Jinting) and bearing multiple red seals. Presented under glass in a dark wood-tone frame with decorative brass-style hanging fittings.

Chinese porcelain vase decorated in famille rose enamels with finely rendered court figures and attendants, surrounded by colourful floral, ruyi and geometric borders. Reverse features a lengthy archaistic seal-script inscription with red seals.

Base bears an apocryphal Qianlong reign mark in seal script, indicating the piece was made in the Qianlong style rather than necessarily during the 18th-century reign. Decorative Chinese export/revival porcelain, likely 20th century.

Chinese calligraphy set comprising an ornate carved hardwood brush stand with nine assorted hanging calligraphy brushes. The stand features pierced geometric and scrolling decoration with stylized dragon-form terminals and individual pegs along the upper rail. Brushes are of various sizes and materials, several retaining Chinese labels and characters.

Stand measures approximately 15&#34; high x 13.5&#34; wide x 4.5&#34; deep. Brushes show varying degrees of use, staining, label wear and age-related wear. Stand presents well with minor surface wear.
