Lot #4: Sansui Model 400 Vintage Stereo Receiver – Original Box & Documents – Tested & Working

A remarkably well-preserved Sansui Model 400 solid-state AM/FM stereo receiver, complete with its original Sansui shipping box and an extensive collection of original documentation. A wonderful time-capsule example of early Sansui hi-fi. The receiver has been cleaned and tested and is working well. Controls, inputs and tuner functions were checked during testing. The handsome wood cabinet, brushed-metal faceplate and controls present very nicely for their age. Please see the detailed photographs for cosmetic condition. Of particular interest is the surviving original material accompanying the receiver, including: - Original Sansui Model 400 factory box - Original operating instructions - Service manual - Model 400 operations/reference sheet - Original warranty/purchase paperwork bearing the receiver's serial number - Additional original Sansui paperwork and materials as pictured The original box shows substantial age, wear and deterioration, but is included as an important part of the receiver's history. A particularly complete example for the vintage Sansui collector, with much of the material that would normally have been discarded decades ago still together with the receiver.
