Large handmade stoneware teapot by noted Dundas, Ontario potter Anne SNEATH, finished in a mottled rose-red, grey and deep cobalt glaze with loosely incised decoration around the body. Wheel-thrown form with fitted lid, substantial handle and elongated spout. Signed/impressed to the underside. Sneath is represented in the Donn Zver School of Pottery permanent collection by several works, including 1980s stoneware teapots, jars and bowls.

Pair of Medieval Knight on Horseback Decorative Figures

Original Braun ST1 solar card calculator, Type 4856, introduced in 1987 and designed by noted Braun industrial designer Dietrich Lubs. The Museum der Dinge specifically attributes the ST1 to Lubs, and period Braun design documentation likewise identifies him as its designer.

Ultra-thin credit-card-format calculator with black minimalist face, LCD display, solar cells and distinctive yellow equals key. Marked “Braun AG Type: 4 856” and “Made in Hong Kong” to reverse. Complete with original Braun protective wallet and original ST1 retail box. The ST1 was produced for only a relatively brief period and is a collectible example of late-1980s Braun functionalist industrial design.

Tested and working. Box shows light storage wear; calculator and wallet present very well overall.

1980 Arrow DeLuxe Electric Ball Clock, Complete with Balls &#38; Instructions

Two decorative hand-blown art glass vases featuring applied spiral glass trails. Includes a substantial clear cylindrical vase measuring approximately 15.5 in. tall with heavy irregular clear glass coils applied around the exterior, together with an approximately 8 in. tall multicoloured vase with red, green and blue internal decoration and applied clear spiral trail. This type of applied coil decoration is commonly referred to as a spiral wrap or rigaree in art-glass descriptions.

Clear vase retains remnants of a label to the underside but maker is presently unidentified. Multicoloured vase has a small chip to the inner rim. General age-related wear; see photos for measurements and condition.

Göğüş Kilim Turkish Flatweave Runner Rug, 10.5&#39; x 3.3&#39;

Collection of three older Chinese decorative carvings, including an approximately 10 in. tall intricately carved figural stand with pierced geometric work and removable carved dragon puzzle ball, a separate finely pierced dragon puzzle ball with multiple freely nested concentric spheres, and a pale green carved stone fisherman figure with rod and suspended fish. The elaborate concentric “puzzle” or “mystery” ball form is a long-established Chinese carving tradition, with comparable dragon-decorated examples documented from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Large Turkish Göğüş Kilim Area Rug, 8.5&#39; x 5.3&#39;

Striking antique NuArt table/night lamp, circa 1920s, featuring a heavy cast metal base modelled with a symmetrical pair of gilt herons or cranes flanking stylized green aquatic foliage. Fitted with a large spherical art glass shade in vivid yellow and deep green/blue, with an unusual mottled cellular pattern. Approximately 14 in. high and 10.5 in. wide.

The shade is removable and the lamp retains an older cord and socket assembly. Surface wear, paint loss and oxidation consistent with age; shade with surface wear/scratching as photographed. Untested. An identical NuArt heron lamp with glass shade is currently being offered online as a 1920s example, supporting the identification and period.

Sneath was an established figure in the Hamilton/Dundas ceramics community and was involved in the development of the organization that became FUSION: The Ontario Clay & Glass Association. The Donn Zver School of Pottery&#39;s permanent collection specifically holds several Anne Sneath works, including teapots from the 1980s, bowls and jars, which makes the attribution here particularly solid. The Hamilton Potters&#39; Guild also continues to present its Anne Sneath Best in Show Award in her honour.
