Lot #94: Moissanite Tennis Cross Pendant in Black Rhodium Plated .925 Sterling Silver

Contemporary interpretation of the classic Latin cross. This high-brilliance tennis cross features 11 perfectly calibrated, round brilliant-cut moissanite stones, prong-set to maximize light entry and maximize scintillation. The solid sterling silver structure has been treated with a premium black rhodium finish, creating a dramatic, dark contrast that beautifully accentuates the explosive fire of the moissanite stones. Please note: As is common with some custom artisan pieces and heavy rhodium-plated jewelry, this piece does not feature a physical metal stamp. The "Blackout" Aesthetic: Black rhodium jewelry continues to hold a strong niche market in contemporary fashion. Unlike traditional high-shine white gold or silver, the dark metal acts as a negative space visual frame, making the colorful "rainbow" dispersion characteristic of moissanite visually pop much harder than it would on a white metal setting. Open-Back Gallery Structure: The reverse architecture of this piece features beautifully designed open-back round galleries. This is highly functional for collectors as it allows for easy ultrasonic or manual cleaning from the rear to preserve the lifelong sparkle of the moissanite stones. Pickup category timeslot {A}
