Lot #43: Stunning Original Hand-Painted Triptych Homage: Ruth Orkin’s "An American Girl in Italy

Stunning one-of-a-kind hand-painted avtylic on board triptych (3-panel) painting honoring Ruth Orkin’s iconic 1951 photograph, "An American Girl in Italy." This unique artwork beautifully translates the famous black-and-white street scene into a rich, full-color narrative spread across three vertical wood panels. To unite the composition, the artist seamlessly integrated a vibrant, draped multi-colored cloth and bright yellow still-life fruit cascading across the foreground of all three scenes. The lower right corner features a stylized inscription reading "Ruth Orkin... Girl in Italy..." along with the artist's initials.
