IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This framed artwork is a geometric op-art serigraph titled "Novatron" by American artist Brian Halsey (born 1942) The Roman numerals indicate a special deluxe edition, which is significantly smaller and more exclusive than Brian Halsey's typical standard runs (which often ranged between 75 and 185 prints). This is a very low edition size of only 30. The "3rd State" designation means the artist altered the color screens or printing sequence to create a completely different colorway for the same geometric pattern. Collectors often seek out specific states if they prefer a certain color palette, but it also highlights the highly intentional, hand-pulled nature of the print. Roman Numeral Edition (XXV/XXX) information: Printmakers frequently use Roman numerals for a distinct subset of an edition—often printed on premium paper (like Arches or Rives BFK) or intended for international distribution, galleries, or the artist’s inner circle.

It was a promotional tie-in with the 1992 film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The Deluxe Talkboy, a cassette recorder and player with a variable-speed voice changer that caused toy crazes over several holiday shopping seasons beginning in 1993.
The Talkboy was originally conceived as a prop for Home Alone 2. Tiger added the feature to the DELUXE model, (AS SEEN HERE IN THIS AUCTION!) which was released in April 1993. Retailers had severely underestimated demand, and as a result the Deluxe Talkboy was one of the most highly sought-after toys during the 1993 holiday shopping season, selling out of stores across the United States.
