Lot #90: Vintage Hand-Carved African-Style Wooden Tribal Wall Mask – Large Rectangular Face Mask

Details: Large hand-carved wooden wall mask with a tall, tapered rectangular face. It has raised oval eye panels with cut-through slit eyes, a long ridged nose that branches into a Y-shaped brow, and a carved protruding round mouth. The face has a warm, rich reddish-brown finish, and the nose and brow ridges are highlighted in a lighter rust tone. Pale incised lines frame the edges, and a band of three stepped triangle (pyramid) motifs runs along the bottom. The back is hollowed out with visible hand-tool marks and a darkened finish, and it has a leather hanging loop at the top, so it's ready to hang. Condition: Pre-owned, good condition. Hand-carved character with visible tool marks, small natural nicks, and light surface scratches throughout. No cracks or breaks noted. The hanging loop is intact. Notes: A striking, earthy statement piece for a wall, entryway, or gallery grouping. It pairs well with natural wood, boho, or global-inspired decor. Pickup category timeslot {A}
