Lot #91: Vintage Framed Chinese Longevity Lock Necklace (Chang Ming Suo) – Shadow Box Wall Art with Linen Mat

Details: A traditional Chinese longevity lock pendant necklace (长命锁, chang ming suo), professionally mounted in a shadow box frame. The ruyi cloud-shaped lock pendant has a raised relief scene of small animals (squirrels or mice) among twisting vines, leaves, and fruit. In Chinese art this is a classic motif that symbolises abundance, fertility, and many descendants. Five dangling strands hang from the pendant, made of stamped leaf-shaped charms ending in bell-shaped tassel drops, in a mix of bronze and brass tones. The full chain is arranged in a triangle above the pendant. It's displayed on a textured natural linen (or grasscloth) backing under a cream double mat and glass, inside a dark-stained wood frame with two sawtooth hangers on the back, ready to hang. The frame is roughly 13" wide. Condition: Pre-owned, good condition. The necklace has an aged, antique-style patina and is secure in the mount. The frame has a few small chips and scuffs along the edges, where red undercoat shows through in spots. The back has some marks and white scuffs. There's a "Made in China" sticker on the back. Notes: A beautiful, culturally rich decor piece. In Chinese tradition, longevity locks were given to children as charms for a long, protected life. Perfect for an Asian-inspired room, entryway, or study, or as a meaningful gift. Pickup category timeslot {A}
