Lot #24: Gustavsberg Argenta Antique Square Ceramic Tray with Sterling Silver Inlaid Motif: 1949

This is vintage Gustavsberg Argenta square ceramic tray designed by Wilhelm Kåge, featuring a striking turquoise green glaze and a delicate Sterling Silver-inlaid floral motif in the center. Center was handmade using a specialized genuine sterling silver paste mixed with turpentine and clove oil. Base on the dark U letter under the makers name this specific tray was made in 1949. Made in Sweden. The small tray measures 3 1/2 inches on each side and is 1/2 inch high. The center silver motif has age patina, a tiny spot of silver is missing but doesn't detract from the motif design. Most of the silver trim around the edges is present, though there are a few spots where it is missing or worn down. Please view all the photos as they are part of the description.
