Lot #45: Vintage repaired Mid-Century Blue Turquoise Drip Glaze Ceramic Table Lamp

Beautiful and unusual vintage ceramic table lamp with a dramatic cobalt blue and turquoise glaze and heavily textured openwork design. This is a striking decorative piece with wonderful color and a sculptural Mid-Century/Brutalist studio pottery look. The lamp measures approximately 34 inches tall to the top of the harp as shown. Condition: This piece has been previously repaired. There is a large visible repaired crack running down the upper ceramic body, along with other cracks, chips and areas of repair within the textured ceramic. The cork-style base has also been repaired and shows age and deterioration. Metal hardware shows oxidation and age-related wear. Please see all photos closely for condition. Despite the repairs, this is a beautiful piece visually and displays extremely well. A creative buyer may even choose to carefully color-match or paint along some of the visible repaired crack lines in blue to make them less noticeable when displayed. Sold as-is due to its age and previous repairs.
