Vintage 1950s Rosko Charlie Weaver Bartender Tin Toy Japan - Untested/Corrosion Rare Vintage 1950s/1960s Rosko "Charlie Weaver" Battery-Operated Tin Toy Bartender – Made in Japan Up for auction is an authentic, 100% original Rosko Tested Toys "Charlie Weaver Bartender" battery-operated mechanical automaton. This iconic mid-century piece was manufactured in Japan and stands approximately 12" tall by 5" wide and 5" deep. It features a beautifully lithographed tinplate bar base depicting a classic tavern scene, paired with its original cloth clothing and vinyl head molded after the famous comedian Cliff Arquette (Charlie Weaver). Condition Details: Aesthetic Condition: Excellent vintage cosmetic shape. The lithographed tin base is vibrant with minimal wear. The original red jacket, plaid shirt, and trousers are intact and display wonderfully. Authenticity: Features the highly sought-after, original silver foil "Rosko Tested" sticker intact on the underside of the battery door. Battery Compartment: The bottom loading door is intact with the original red plastic locking latch. The wiring appears completely original and securely soldered. Please Note: There is historical battery acid corrosion present on the left terminal contact pad (visible in photos) that will need a light cleaning/neutralizing to ensure optimal electrical connection.
