This is a hand signed print of "The Air, The Forst and the Watch by Robert Bateman. It is a limited edition print numbered 15,718 of 42,558. It is presented in a beautiful folder on it's own and has never been owned privately! Robert Bateman is one of Canada’s most distinguished and collectible wildlife artists, renowned for his extraordinary realism, meticulous observation and ability to capture not only the appearance of wildlife, but its spirit and place within the natural world. Often described as one of Canada’s foremost interpreters of nature, Bateman’s paintings invite the viewer to slow down and truly observe the landscape. His work is particularly admired for its quiet sophistication, beautifully balanced compositions and thoughtful environmental themes, making his art highly sought after by collectors of Canadian and wildlife art. The Air, the Forest and the Watch, created in 1989 to commemorate Earth Day, is a particularly significant and contemplative work. A magnificent bald eagle stands watch from an aged forest tree, its commanding presence contrasted beautifully against the surrounding wilderness. The eagle represents “the watch”—a powerful symbol of awareness and our responsibility to protect the natural world. Bateman’s inclusion of the weathered tree is equally meaningful, reflecting his understanding that even fallen and decaying trees play an essential role in a healthy forest. More than a beautiful wildlife image, this work combines exceptional artistry with a lasting message of conservation and stewardship. With its striking subject, sophisticated composition and deeper symbolism, The Air, the Forest and the Watch is an impressive addition to a discerning collection and a wonderful representation of Robert Bateman’s enduring contribution to Canadian wildlife art. The folder is 28 1/2 x 40 inches. The sheet size is 28 1/4” x 39.5 inches. The image side is 23“ x 24.Inches Dimensions: 28 x 39 Pickup category timeslot {A}
