Decorative blue and white transferware porcelain, featuring a classic historical aesthetic. The set includes a large octagonal pitcher (9" tall) and a pair of coordinating butterfly and floral-patterned candlestick holders (10" tall). This striking assembly offers an elegant, timeless appeal for traditional decor, cottage styles, or avid transferware collectors. The pitcher showcases a highly detailed blue transfer scenic pattern on a crisp white body, accented by a bold, sculptural serpentine handle. The base features a classic royal crest stamp reading "Victoria Ware Ironstone". Affixed to the bottom is its original retail distributor sticker from Millard Lister Sales Limited. The accompanying matching candlesticks mirror the tone and glazing, featuring a delicate motif of butterflies and scattered blossoms. While the transfer mark mimics 19th-century British registry stamps, this specific style of "Victoria Ware" is a well-documented 20th-century vintage reproduction. Produced predominantly in China during the late 1970s through the 1990s, these pieces were crafted to replicate antique English "Flow Blue" ironstone for the North American and European giftware markets. Because they are modern reproductions rather than true 1800s antiques, there is no individual "master designer" associated with the pattern. Instead, the motifs are adapted from historical English country-scene templates. Millard Lister Sales Limited was a prominent Canadian importer and wholesaler of high-quality giftware and ceramics based out of Scarborough, Ontario. Throughout the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, they supplied major department stores—such as Eaton's and Hudson's Bay—with European- and Asian-manufactured decor before eventually closing around 1999–2000.
