Vintage Sadler England Gold Chintz & Ivory Swirl Creamer Pitcher – Pattern 2822 Up for auction is a beautiful, authentic vintage porcelain creamer pitcher crafted by James Sadler & Sons in Staffordshire, England. This elegant mid-century piece features Sadler's iconic swirled ribbed body, beautifully decorated with alternating vertical panels of creamy ivory porcelain and hand-gilded 22k gold chintz floral bands. This creamer (originally part of the famous 2822 tea service set) is a classic example of Hollywood Regency / Art Deco styling that makes a gorgeous addition to any tea party, holiday table, or vintage porcelain display. Item Details & Specifications • Manufacturer: James Sadler & Sons Ltd. • Origin: Staffordshire, England • Pattern Number: 2822 (Gold Chintz & Ivory Swirl) • Estimated Era: Late 1940s – 1950s • Dimensions: Approximately 4.5" inches wide (from spout to handle tip) by 3.75" inches tall (to the lip/handle peak) • Markings: Features the authentic incised "SADLER ENGLAND" block letter backstamp on the base, along with the hand-painted black pattern number 2822 and the original gilder’s tally mark. Condition Report • Overall Condition: Excellent vintage condition. • Exterior: The exterior gold gilding remains remarkably bright, crisp, and shiny with minimal wear or rubbing on the handle and rim. No chips, no cracks, and no flea bites. • Interior: Very clean interior.
