Lot #91: Vintage Ethnic & Tribal Metal Torque Bangles & Hinged Ankle Kadas (Set of 5)

This lot consists of five vintage ethnic and tribal bangles and ankle kadas originating from traditional South Asian metalwork. The group includes open-torque cuffs and pin-hinged styles crafted with textured chasing, ribbed detailing, and sculpted terminal ends—notably featuring one heavy cuff finished with stylized bird/peacock heads. Constructed from solid, silver-tone white metal alloys, these heavy pieces reflect traditional regional jewelry techniques. Material: Unmarked silver-tone metal / mixed base alloy (untested for silver content) Condition: Vintage condition with age-appropriate patina, surface wear, oxidation, and natural alignment variations consistent with hand-crafted pieces. The locking pin for the hinged bangle is present. Note that the largest cuff with the stylized terminal heads shows distortion and is crushed in the middle.
