Lot #152: Vintage Chinese Medicine Pot, Rustic Earthenware Herbal Clay Pot

Beautiful vintage Chinese medicine brewing pot, traditionally used to simmer and prepare herbal medicines. Made from textured, earthy clay, the pot has a simple, primitive form with a side handle, pouring spout, and fitted lid. The warm sandy-beige clay is contrasted by a deep black glaze along the rim, lid, handle, and spout. Its irregular surface, muted palette, and signs of age give it a particularly beautiful wabi-sabi quality.
