Bidding starts in 0d 1h 0m

Pair of Canadian 50 cent coins dated 1910 and 1911, featuring Edward VII and George V respectively. Both were struck in .925 sterling silver, with a standard weight of 11.62 g each and diameter of 29.72 mm. The 1910 had a mintage of 649,521, while the 1911 had a substantially lower mintage of 209,972. The 1911 is the distinctive first-year George V issue lacking “DEI GRATIA” in the obverse legend, commonly referred to as the 1911 “Godless” coinage. Both examples show circulation wear, as photographed. Each is housed in an older stapled cardboard 22 holder. Combined weights including holders are 13.26 g for the 1910 and 12.76 g for the 1911; based on the standard 11.62 g coin weight, the holders account for approximately 1.64 g and 1.14 g respectively.
