Lot #255: World War 2 Canada Tombac Nickels (23)

This auction lot features a historical collection of 23 Canadian World War II five-cent coins, primarily composed of the iconic 1942 Tombac issues. Minted by the Royal Canadian Mint to conserve crucial nickel for military production during the war, these distinct 12-sided dodecagonal coins are crafted from a golden-toned copper-zinc alloy. The group displays varying degrees of authentic circulated patina and details, presenting a wonderful layout of early wartime history that includes King George VI on the obverse. Alongside the dominant 1942 dates, the lot includes a couple pieces from subsequent war years, giving numismatic enthusiasts an ideal opportunity to acquire a robust, instant collection of Canada's classic wartime emergency coinage Dimensions: - Pickup category timeslot {A}
