Lot #8: Vintage Turkish Kars Rug Cream Tan & Indigo Blue Geometric Cross Star Accent Rug

Hand-knotted Vintage Turkish Kars tribal rug. Handcrafted in northeastern Anatolia, this rugged textile showcases a clean repeating grid of graphic, cross-shaped star medallions floating over a neutral tan and cream-ivory field. The central panel is perfectly framed by a striking black and white geometric guard border and warm brick-red corners. Hand-woven with thick, strong hand-spun mountain wool, this durable accent rug provides a dense pile with excellent structure underfoot. Measuring exactly 2 feet 9 inches in width, it is an ideal size to bring clean geometric contrast and authentic old-world character to an entryway, kitchen galley, or bedside landing. • Design & Pattern: It features a bold, repeating grid of large geometric cross-shaped star medallions (resembling a stylized Kazak or Shirvan layout). The field is enclosed by a highly distinctive graphic border featuring a black and white running geometric pattern. • Color Palette: Dominated by a cool, neutral tan and cream-ivory field, beautifully accented by rich royal indigo blue and highlights of deep brick red. • Condition: good condition, recently cleaned by Persian rug cleaning company.
