Lot #25: 1:12 Antique German Erzgebirge Dollhouse Miniature Dairy & Farmhouse Kitchen Churn Dasher

antique Erzgebirge German dollhouse miniatures, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Meticulously hand-turned from natural pine and fruitwoods, this set features a fantastic collection of traditional primitive dairy tools. Perfect for furnishing an antique farmhouse kitchen or miniature general store, the lot features multiple miniature wood butter paddles and classic turned plunge-churn dashers. The collection also includes complementary household accessories, including mini wooden spoons, turned wash buckets, a hand-painted clock face, and a standing chalkboard easel. • Erzgebirge Heritage: The Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) region of Germany is world-renowned as the birthplace of traditional wooden toymaking. Following the decline of local silver mining in the 1800s, master woodturners pivoted to creating incredibly detailed miniatures (Spielzeug), which were exported globally. Antique items from this specific region carry significant historical provenance. • Hand-Turned Craftsmanship: Unlike modern plastic or mass-produced resin miniatures, each of these pieces was shaped individually on a foot-powered lathe or carved by hand, making every item unique.
