This versatile and stylish piece stands 33" high (26.5" in height to the writing surface), is 22" wide, and has a depth of 21.25".

This fine piece of furniture boasts two dovetailed drawers with antique brass lion head pulls, two dovetailed lower cabinets (with original skeleton keys), hand turned legs and stretcher (for added support and beauty), with an outstanding ornate backboard that separates from the base for easy transportation. The oval gemstone of various shades of pink/rose rhodochrosite sits atop a very ornate sterling silver (.925 silver) setting. Rhodochrosite occurs as a hydrothermal vein mineral along with other manganese minerals in low temperature ore deposits as in the silver mines of Romania where it was first found. Banded rhodochrosite is mined in Capillitas, Argentina. Quality banded specimens are often used as decorative stones in jewelry. Due to its being relatively soft, it is very difficult to cut, and therefore rarely found faceted in jewelry.
