This solid oak slant top desk with two upper cabinets and multiple cubby holes was purchased in 1967 at an auction of a closing hotel in Cambridge Springs, PA. It is very sturdy, but has some missing hardware and trim as well as various nicks and scratches due to age. The drawer pulls under the desk indicate "Parker & Whipple Co. Patented Feb. 28, 1871." A hole was cut in the back to make it functional as a computer desk. The original finish was stripped to reveal the natural oak. This lot also includes the padded desk chair and green shaded bankers light. The desk is in two sections: the top cabinet is 48x27.5x11.5; the desk section is 48" wide, 32" deep, 29.5" high at front and 32" high at back. It will require two people to move as well as a van or pick up for transit. Category C pickup time slot.

Solid pine English Linen Press in excellent condition circa 1850.Solid pine construction with Dentil Cornice on top. Chest of drawers has two short over two large drawers below. Two large panel drawers on top. Pine shelves inside. One shelf is missing one board so it's narrower than the other shelf. Hinges have retained solid mounting and are in very good condition. It was being used as an entertainment center, so a 1" hole was drilled in the back for cable access. All wood is in very good condition with no large cracks and only a few small blemishes as expected in a piece of this age. Originally purchased in 1999 from Ivory Bird Antiques in Montclair, NJ for $2900. (copy of receipt in pictures)This unit measures 44X80X20. The cornice lifts off, but the rest is one solid piece. So it will require two strong movers and a van or pick-up for transit.Category C pickup time slot.

This Governor Winthrop style mahogany drop front desk made by Maddox Table Company in Jamestown, NY was purchased by my grandparents at Polsky's Department Store in Akron, Ohio; it still has the store tags on the back. The date of that purchase remains a mystery, but most likely it was in the late 40s - early 50s. There are no alterations, but it does show some signs of age. However, it's essentially in very good condition. It includes a fold down desk top that reveals inner drawers and pigeon holes. The center door framed by columns is called the "prospect door." Legends say a secret compartment hides behind those doors, but we cannot find one. One drawer is stuck shut. (maybe that's the one that holds the secret treasure). There are four large curved pull out drawers below. The glass cabinet above has three shelves. The piece is in two sections: the top section measures 36x40x9, the bottom section measures 36x42x20 (at the widest section). This is a big piece in two sections, so it will require some muscle to move and a van or pick up for transport.Category C pickup time slot.
