George Thomson oil on board. Owen Sound bay. 10 inches high by 11 inches wide. Oil on board.
An elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists exhibiting in 1913, 1915, 1929 to 1937 & 1940. He also exhibited at the Royal Canadian Academy of Art, showing in 1918, 1919, 1929 to 1937, 1939 to 1941, 1943 to 1945, 1948 & 1950. In addition, he also exhibited at the Montreal Art Association, the Western Ontario Exhibition and in the United States at the National Academy of Design in New York as well at the Art Institute of Chicago. His works are held in the National Art Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Ontario and numerous private collections. In 1996, the Tom Thomson Memorial Art Gallery in Owen Sound presented a major retrospective of his work.

Policies for Pickup
1. Buyers MUST show a copy of your PAID INVOICE (either paper or on your phone).
2. All buyers with invoices over $300 must be prepared to show a photo ID and the credit card used on file before items will be released.
3. No small children or animals are allowed on site, as moving furniture and heavy items can be dangerous.Â
4. Washrooms are not available for use.
5. By departing from the site, you agree that you have all the correct items and are satisfied with them. Before leaving the site please discuss any issues with the MaxSold team lead or the Seller/Representative (for Seller Managed Sales where no MaxSold staff are present).
6. MaxSold team members do not have packing materials and are not allowed to carry or load your purchased items. Please have adequate supplies and help to safely remove your purchases.
Buyers MUST wear a MASK if required by your local health and safety guidelines.

Policies for Pickup
Pickup time windows are fixed and limited. You will be required to select a pickup window prior to the auction pickup. Please be sure to select a time slot that you are certain you will be able to attend. Alternate pickup times may or may not be accommodated and if accommodated may result in additional fees.
Claims for refunds can be made only in certain limited circumstances. Where an error in the lot description has occurred on an item you purchased, let the seller (or their representative) know immediately upon pickup so that it may be rectified. Except for limited circumstances, refunds are subject to processing fees.
MaxSold does not arrange shipping; however, you can make your own arrangements at your own risk.
Current bids cannot be changed or removed once submitted and each one is a promise that you will honour the bid and all the terms.
