Sold for

Set #1:  This classic tea cup and saucer is called Country Lane.  Both cup and saucer were produced by the Paragon China Company and branded as such.  Both cup and saucer also contain the royal seal and the words by appointment to her majesty the Queen.  Paragon was a British manufacturer of bone china from 1919 to 1960, based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, previously known as the Star China Company, and more recently part of the Royal Doulton group. The cup exterior is white and has gold trim along the edges.  The top of the exterior of the cup is lined with a variety of pink, purple, blue and yellow flowers and green leaves.  The interior of the cup is white and contains no additional decoration.  The saucer is also labeled Country Lane and is white with gold trim and a floral and leaf design that matches the saucer.  Both the tea cup and saucer are in excellent condition without any chips or cracks.
Set #2:  Although the teacup and saucer are made by two different manufacturers, they are sold together as a set because they match nicely.  Both cup and saucer are fine bone china and made in England. However, the teacup was manufactured by Paragon while the saucer was made by Shelley.  Shelley teacups and saucers are among some of the most collectable types of china in the world. They are beautiful, surprisingly thin and yet wonderfully strong.  The Paragon teacup pattern is not labeled. It is totally white on its exterior and contains pink, yellow, and blue flowers with leaves on the inside which has a white background.  However, the bottom of the cup contains three numbers(?) in pink - although almost impossible to read - i when magnified using the iPad, it appears to be a pink blotch. The saucer, made by Shelley, contains the distinctive and telltale green stamp of authenticity, is called Wild Flowers.  It has a white background, gold trim and contains flowers very similar in color and style to the cup.  Both pieces are in excellent condition.  There are no chips, cracks or defects of any kind.

These cups are delicate and beautiful and tea would sure be more tasty when consumed using this china!

Condition: Excellent condition as per seller
Measurements: Cup 3.25 (W) and Saucer 5.5 (W)
