"Power Play!" Part 1 of 3. Guest-starring the X-Men. Script by J.M. DeMatteis. Pencils and Inks by Sal Buscema. Cover by Sal Buscema. On a bustling day in New York City, Peter Parker sits down for lunch with his (robot) parents Richard and Mary Parker. At the same time in the restaurant next door, four members of the original X-Men sit down for lunch too! When the bank across the street is robbed, the Spectacular Spider-Man and the Uncanny X-Men leap into action! As expected the super-heroes make short work of the robbers! However, while the web-slinger and the Beast are exchanging post-fight pleasantries, from out of the blue Professor Power attacks! Wow, that was most unexpected! Are the X-Men and the wall-crawler ready to rumble with Professor Power? X-Men Lineup: Archangel, Beast, Cyclops, and Iceman.

"Fear Eats the Soul" Part 2 of 2. Guest-starring the Shroud. Script by Steven Grant. Pencils and Inks by Sal Buscema. Cover by Sal Buscema. In the concrete rubble of the Sorcerer Supreme's former townhome, the screaming masks of Cyttorak have come to life! And affixed themselves to the faces of three street thugs! The trio of masked men quickly charge the web-slinger and the Shroud, but the spectacular one and the Master of Darkness fend off the crimson masks! Until one of the screaming masks changes its hostto your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Now fighting alone, can the Shroud "unmask" the wondrous wall-crawler? And corral the ancient artifacts of Cyttorak? Backup story: "Moving Day" Script by Steven Grant. Art by Malcolm Jones III. Peter and Mary Jane make the big move from their old loft apartment in SoHo to their new brownstone on the Upper East Side!#213
"Typhoid Attack" Part 1 of 2. Script by Ann Nocenti. Pencils by James Fry. Inks by Sal Buscema and Rodney Ramos. Cover by Joe Madureira and Cam Smith. On assignment for the Daily Bugle, Peter Parker photographs a bloody crime scene inside a rundown motel. While the police are investigating the murder, Peter notices a fraught and homeless young woman named Mary in the room. Apparently she witnessed the crime and is now suffering an emotional breakdown. Feeling sympathetic towards Mary, Aunt May's nephew invites her to have dinner at his home. That sounds like a wonderful idea, provided that Mary isn't some kind of crazy serial killer or something! Oh no! Can the web-slinger retract that invitation? Unfortunately, it's too late by the time Mary Jane answers the doorand Typhoid Mary walks in! Will the spectacular one be able to contain the typhoid outbreakbefore it becomes a bloody (Mary) mess?

"Time Is On No Side!" The Predator and the Prey Part 2 of 2. Plot by Tom DeFalco. Script by Todd Dezago. Art by Sal Buscema. Cover by Sal Buscema. A surprising sequence of events has left three men pondering their respective futures: Peter Parker, Mac Gargan (aka the Scorpion), and J. Jonah Jameson. All three realize the people they have taken for granted in recent days, months, and years. And each man vows to make changes to improve his life and relationships going forward! But this story includes a fourth man who has just taken a big step in his life by coming to New York City and visiting Aunt May in the hospital! Who is this "mystery man" that holds May Parker in such high regard? When he bumps into the web-slinger on the hospital roof... both men's lives change in an instant... forever! Story continues in Web of Spider-Man 117.

48-page Flipbook Edition. "A Time to Live!" Web of Death, Part 2 of 4. Script by Tom DeFalco. Art by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Bill Sienkiewicz (finishes). Cover by Sal Buscema. Story continues from Amazing Spider-Man #397. Doctor Octopus works feverishly to save Peter Parker's life as the Vulture's deadly virus pushes the wall-crawler closer and closer to death! What a strange turn of events to see Doc Ock helping Spider-Man! Perhaps the six-armed super-villain's heart is not as cold as it's seemed through the years! After temporarily containing the virus, Dr. Octopus drops the web-slinger off at his brownstone to be reunited with Mary Jane! And once inside she announces to her husband: "We're having a baby!" Mary Jane is pregnant! Story continues in Amazing Spider-Man #398. Cameo appearances by Aunt May, Anna Watson, Kaine, and Stunner. Flip story: "Scoop!" Story by David Michelinie. Illustrations by Mark Bagley and Alex Saviuk. Back cover by Tom Grummett and Klaus Janson. This 15-page abridged story (with clip art) is taken from the Ultimate Spider-Man (1994 Novel) anthology by Berkley Books. The short story features Spider-Man vs. the Raker. "The Final Verdict" The Trial of Peter Parker Part 4 of 4. Script by Tom DeFalco. Art by Sal Buscema (breakdowns) and Bill Sienkiewicz (finishes). Cover by Sal Buscema and Bill Sienkiewicz. Story continues from Spider-Man 60. The trial is over! Peter has been cleared of all charges; Ben is a free man; and Kaine is in police custody! Maybe now Mary Jane and her husband can get back to some semblance of a normal life! Unfortunately, their joy over Peter's exoneration is short-lived once MJ receives a phone call from Seward Trainer! The geneticist has new test resultsthat will change the lives of Peter, Ben, and Mary Janeforever. Who really is the Spider-Clone? Cameo appearances by Joe Robertson, J. Jonah Jameson, Spidercide, and the Jackal. (Notes: Spectacular Spider-Man 226 was the most controversial issue of the second clone saga. The final 5 pages of the story were very distressing (in more ways than one) to long-time fans of the Amazing Spider-Man.)
