The wall-crawler renews acquaintances with the Terrible Tinkerer and his killer toys! Can your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man avoid the toy cannons, miniature soldiers, exploding jack-in-the-boxes, gun-toting dolls, and knife-wielding teddy bears? It's a fun battle for Spidey! "The Big Blow Out" Script by Roger Stern. Pencils by Luke McDonnell. Inks by Jim Mooney. Cover by Frank Miller. Thanks to a legal technicality, one of Captain Marvel's deadliest foes is released from Project Pegasus. And now the Spectacular Spider-Man has an explosive problem on his hands...Nitro! Neither hero nor villain knows much about the other's powers, but that doesn't prevent the pair from waging a terrific battle across Manhattan! (Note: Nitro previously appeared in Omega the Unknown 8.) 32 pages

"Delusions" Part 3 of 3. Script by Bill Mantlo. Pencils by Greg LaRocque. Inks by Jim Mooney. Cover by Greg LaRocque and Al Milgrom. Peter Parker and Ben Urich attend the Punisher's arraignment hearing at the courthouse. It's a sad ending for Frank Castle as the once proud vigilante is sentenced to a mental institution for his attacks on the civilian populace. However, the one-man war against crime will return with a vengeance in his Limited Series! (Punisher 1st series 1986). Meanwhile, the Black Cat is gradually recovering from her injuries and suggests to the web-slinger the possibility of becoming his crime fighting partner. Brief origin on the Punisher. Cameo appearance by Captain Jean DeWolff. (Notes: This three-part story was reprinted in Marvel Tales 220, 221, and 222. There was some controversy at the time over the characterization (mentally unstable/borderline psychotic) of the Punisher in these issues, as his persona was somewhat different from his prior appearances.) 32 pages Reprinted in Marvel Tales # 222.
