Lot #103: Royal Doulton Figurines “Carrie And Tess”

These Royal Doulton, pretty lady figurines named Carrie and Tess, were both made in England in the 1970s and 1980s were retired in the early 1980s and 1990s.Both figurines are part of the Kate Greenaway series. They were both designed by M. Davies.Carrie is wearing a white bonnet with a feather and pink bow which adorn it. The same colour scarf with a matching bow is worn around her neck. Carrie dons a turquoise coloured coat and she has a bouquet of flowers that match the colour of both the ribbon and her scarf. She is carrying a small bouquet of white flowers with burgundy tips matching her scarf. Her delicate facial features and details such as her black striped white bag and the gold coloured buttons on her coat make Carrie an extraordinary piece.The figurine is stamped on the bottom with the royal Doulton mark and is numbered HN2800. It stands 15 3/4 cm tall. It is an excellent condition. It would make a wonderful gift for any collector a fine and elegant pieces. Tess is wearing a beautiful, pale, green flowing gown with a high bodice, accented by a sash coloured soft pink. The hem of her gown is adorned with hand painted flowers, and leaves, which are pink and white. In her right hand, Tess is holding a small group of beautiful, deep, purple and burgundy flowers. Tessas facial features are extremely delicate and her hair is detailed with beautiful curls and waves.The bottom of the Figurine has the royal Doulton stamp and is numbered HN2865 . The figurine stands 14 cm tall.Both Tess and Carrie are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or crazing.
