Many of you will remember Peter Max, a wildly popular artist in the 60s, known for his brilliant palette and often psychedelic imagery. In addition to paintings, posters, drawings, and lithographs, he also consulted on "Yellow Submarine," the Beatles' groundbreaking animated film. This lithograph floats on the matte, and shows a robed figure staring out at a huge sun, half reflected in a pool. The surrounding matte has been dedicated to its recipient, embellished with free-form elements, and signed by Max. Signed Peter Max Lithograph

A lovely Asian hand embroidered silk framed textile. Estimated to be mid 19th century; it was brought back from a trip to Japan in 1967, along with other items of the same era. The motif features a duck swimming among lotus blossoms. Fine, delicate stitch work, and attention to detail make this a superb addition to your collection. The threads used have a subtle sheen that highlights against the matte silk base, and the water is enhanced with hand-applied color. Minor signs of wear, as to be expected with a piece of this age. The wooden frame has dovetail construction and features a decorative metal (bronze or brass) tab for hanging. The piece will need to be reinforced in the back of the frame. Its as arrived in 1967, backed with scrap wood and paper tape, which is starting to loosen. Measures 13 x 46.                

Antique Asian Hand Embroidered Silk Framed Textile 

An offering with international flair. Lot of seven sterling silver bangle bracelets brought back from Egypt in 1983. The varying textures and designs make them great for stacking. Diameter of the bracelets measures 2  inches. Some have traditional Egyptian silver marks, and others are stamped 925. Russell Jinishian Gallery, one of&nbsp;Americas leading marine art galleries representing Louis Dodd (1943-2006):&nbsp; "In the art world, there are many good contemporary painters, but few great ones. Englishman Louis Dodd was one of those few."&nbsp; &nbsp;<div>Connoisseur Magazine stated, "Dodd is a painter of 17th and 18th century marine art, both ship portraiture and port cities. His ability is unsurpassed. This is coupled with an intimate knowledge of ports and famous structures. He is possibly the most historically gifted artist to come into the marine field in the last 100 years."Born in 1943, in Hastings, England, Louis Dodd attended the Hastings School of Art and the Goldsmith School of Art, majoring in illustration. His ability in draftsmanship and line work earned him a National Diploma in Design. After college, he spent several years in typographic and graphic design work, but he was determined to become a full-time fine artist.                </div><div>Here we see two American ships with another&nbsp; in the distance during what appears to be harsh weather.&nbsp; A dock, a busy port perhaps, and more ships, and a town with steeples in the distance.&nbsp; Lovely detail, nicely framed.&nbsp;Craquelure throughout and a few raised marks have not yet permeated the surface completely, but need attention. Signed Louis Dodd Nautical Painting

Listed local artist Miriam Wotiz exhibited widely, and was a member of various New England art associations. Her works are held in many private collections worldwide. This lot includes an unframed oil painting in excellent condition, "Springtime in Rockport," depicting one of her characteristic New England scenes. A small rural Cape is sheltered by towering trees, in soft shades of umber and green. Signed on front and back.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 1rem;">24"W X 18"H.</span><div>The matted and framed watercolor, "Awaiting Spring," is a scene she returned to many times: a distant farmhouse and outbuildings. Deft brushstrokes capture this snow-covered view, with the pond in the foreground beginning to melt and reflect the barn behind it. Marcy Weight Bench, Bar, Weights

This village landscape has a primitive charm, with muted colors and casual brushstrokes. Signed E.E. Swannell, April 1901. We haven't been able to find out anything about Swannell, so likely an untrained amateur painter. Small area of damage above tree, as shown. Signed E.E. Swannell Oil Painting

Elegant Hollywood Regency-style oval coffee table from La Barge is solid brass with a thick inset-framed glass top. Gently curving legs with scrolled feet and acanthus leaf motif support the base, then flare to meet the scalloped top rim. La Barge was an American manufacturer, much beloved by interior decorators for their style and quality. This piece is in like-new condition.&nbsp;<div>Glass is not removable. Jaqueline Kennedy Collection, including Camrose &#38; Kross JBK Jewelry

Kai Jeppe Drews, 1884-1964,  was a Danish painter who had a prolific career--and several aliases. He studied at the Danish Technical School as well as at several private art schools. His works focus on landscapes and spare domestic interiors, all bathed in a sense of peace and solitude. The landscapes are signed Kai Drews or H. Thoring; for the interiors he used the name Poul Ronne. This small oil painting, titled "Heaven's Mountain," and signed H. Thoring, centers a thatched hut on the shore of a lake, with the mountain rising in the distance. A quiet scene of discreet human presence in grand natural surroundings. Signed Kai Drews/ H. Thoring Oil Painting 

It's not much of an exaggeration to say that the Beatles hit the US like a meteor. The hair! The screaming fans! And of course, the music, an incredible catalog ranging from psychedelia to British music hall homages, and everything in between. Apple Records was the label they founded, in 1968, to distribute their own music but also that of other musicians they felt might not get representation by the big labels. &nbsp;This black &amp; white lithograph is matted, in shrinkwrap, showing an apple with images of swinging London in the slice removed. A line of type at the bottom indicates the office address of 3 Savile Row, which was also the site of their famous unannounced last live performance, up on the roof. &nbsp;See the accompanying 2003 book, "The Beatles, The Unseen Archive," full of black and white photographs chronicling their history. &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Condition: excellent<br>Measurements: 15.5&#34;W X 19&#34;H

Vintage Apple Records Lithograph and Beatles Book

Antique Japanese tiered four level food box known as a Jubako, made of traditional lacquer technique over wood. This exquisite piece represents the high elegance of the Japanese aesthetic.&nbsp; All levels nest together with a decorative lid on top, and sit upon a raised base. It was brought back brought back from Asia with a variety of antiques in 1967. Exact date of the piece is unknown. The ornate design features a bonsai tree that wraps around all four sides of the piece, with golden maki-e lacquer details rendered in shades of gold. Kilim Runner 

Wooden folding chairs with cushioned seats from Stakmore, "the aristocrats of folding furniture." This set of four features pierced and carved backrests and orange vinyl seat covers, and all are in fine working order. Stakmore patented their folding chair design in 1926; we believe these date to the 1940s. Mid-century Stakmore Folding Chairs

Two moods, one subject: the sea. The small print is a moody rendering of a lighthouse and sailboats as an electrical storm scatters bolts of lightning. Artist John Hutchinson of Chatham is known for his marine paintings, and more recently for his foray into children's books. Matted and framed in classic gold wood frame. 9.25"W X 7.5"H, the matte opening is 4.75"W X 2.75"H.&nbsp;<div>A print by the wonderfully named Racket Shreve, signed both on the plate and in ink on the print itself, shows the three-masted Friendship sailing into Salem Harbor on August 31, 1998.&nbsp;The Friendship is a tall ship replica, and when docked is a floating museum. This slender Chantelle-style chair is reminiscent of La Belle Epoch in France. The tufted, upholstered back, nail-head trim, and gracious relief/carvings on the oak pediment, arms, and legs are characteristic of this vintage style. The soft fabric is a handsome shade of coral, the seating is comfortable, and overall, an elegant chair that is in great condition. Pair of Mac Chef Cutting Tools

An embroidered silk wall hanging brought back with an assortment of antiques from Asia in 1967. Exact date of the piece is unknown. At its center is the spectacular dragon; hand embroidered using the filled couching technique with metallic wrapped threads. Especially beautiful are the details in the dragons face, and the stitches used to construct the body, which forms an overlapping scales motif. Its constructed of a fine weight silk with a sturdier gold and blue brocade border that gives it body. The backing is blue silk, and has a few scattered small holes, and a visible fold mark. Enter the Dragon

Many of us are endlessly fascinated by Britain's royal family, particularly Queen Elizabeth II, and its rebel member, Princess Diana. This collection of ephemera includes a commemorative booklet from the coronation of Elizabeth's father, George VI, upon the abdication of his brother Edward VIII to marry an American divorcee, and her mother, Elizabeth. Contains a map of the procession, schedule of events, and a full listing of participants, including other royals and many dignitaries. Some slight wear, with color cover and original cord binding. A full-color booklet from 1983 celebrating the 30th anniversary of Elizabeth II's coronation from the Radio Times, some wear. Many items relating to Diana, including two souvenir booklets from her marriage to Prince Charles, produced by TV Times; the 1997 soft-cover People Magazine commemorative edition of "The Diana Years," very good condition; a commemorative cup from the wedding; a commemorative coin with Elizabeth on one side and Charles and Diana on the reverse. Other items include an ashtray with gilt trim commemorating the R.A.F. Upper Heyford hunt. Upper Heyford was a Royal Air Force station, now closed.
