The chain is marked 22K 916" which shows that it is 91.6% pure gold. It is also marked LJMP/31." The gold part that holds the pearl is 14K gold. It is also marked FIC which means finest in cut, but alas, part of the surface of the pearl has a piece missing. Clocks like these were generally used in railroad stations, although they could also be used in other places such as schools. It was made to hang on a wall. Probably early 1900s. This is an 8-day Seth Thomas Westminster Chime Mantle Clock in a wooden case, perhaps mahogany. #124 Seth Thomas clocks were made from around 1924 to 1956. It has both the pendulum and the key. Peter Sculthorpe studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and at one time had a studio in Chester County, PA. Many of his artworks were from views around the Brandywine Valley in Chester County. He currently resides in the states of Delaware and North Carolina. Based on the quality of the print, it probably dates from 1970 to 1990. We auctioned this print in a previous Maxsold Auction, but the high bidder did not pay for it so we are able to re-list it.<br>Condition: No defects.<br>Measurements: The frame size is 12.75&#34; by 10.25&#34;, and the artwork is double matted.

Solid Brass Fireplace Fender

Probably dates to the 1940s to 1950s. The black and white bird on the front is a swallow. There are drainage holes at the bottom of each tulip. The length is 10"; height is 5". There is a large chip in the back of the planter as presented in the last two images, and it also has crazing. Natrium Chloratum is sodium chloride (salt). These matching bottles have different sizes of salt in them and were sold by the Myles Salt Co. of New Orleans. A very nice set of bottles that would be extremely difficult to obtain anywhere else. Some labels on the back show the various sizes of these salts and some of them say Ice Cream. According to the back of this sketch, Arthur Sinclair Covey (born 1877, died 1960) made this sketch for Kohler of the Kohler Co in Wisconsin which was a manufacturing company. It is an original ink drawing on a metal plate, but we have not authenticated it. Arthur Sinclair Covey was an American mural artist whose art often depicted workers doing their jobs, but his art was not restricted to this. Dark stained wooden staff carved in the shape of an elongated standing man. The head is detailed with carved facial features including carved ears, eyes, nose, and an open mouth. The neck features multiple horizontal carved rings. The limbs and torso are slender with smooth finishes. The wood shows some natural aging with a minor crack on the back shoulder area.
