Set of two original woodblock prints by Salvador Dal. Both painting were hung in the Louvre Museum in Paris for two years (both from 1980 - 1982).  Both signed in plate by Salvador Dal and also signed and certified E.A in pencil by Salvador Dal. The smaller print is one of the woodblock prints made to illustrate the Divine Comedy. The scene is from Inferno #8 and is titled Choleric People. This print is not in a frame and on a mat, however the back of the mat is broken as shown in images. This measures 13 x 10.5 The second, and larger print is one of the woodblock prints made to illustrate the Divine Comedy. The scene is from Purgatory #8 and is titled The Guardians of the Valley of the Princes. It is in a frame ready to hang. Measurement does not include frame. Estimated to be 12 x 9. The lot contains two hardcover books; one with a red cover embossed with a profile medallion, showing wear and discoloration, the other with a dark brown textured cover and gilt edge detailing, showing age wear and spine damage. Interior pages have smoke stains and some discoloration. Titles and authors are clearly printed on the title pages under glassine or open view.
